Fantastic Fireworks Photography

oooohh..... ahhhhhh......

There’s nothing like a nice firework display to get your heart racing and to paint that dark sky in beautiful, bright neon colours.

November the 5th is with us again, so it’s time to wrap up warm and head out into a dark field with a hot chocolate in one hand and a hot dog in the other!

Our most famous autumn occasions in the United Kingdom is Bonfire Night aka ‘Guy Fawkes Night’. It’s a tradition that is held each year on 5 November. The purpose of Guy Fawkes Night is to celebrate the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot way back on 5 November in 1605, whach was an attempt to kill King James I.

Fireworks are used in many countries as a sign of celebration and fireworks can be dated back to the 7th century where they were invented in China.

In America the very first celebration of Independence Day was in 1777.  In Ireland (both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland), during the Halloween season, there are many fireworks displays and during the summer in Japan, fireworks festivals (花火大会 hanabi taikai?) are held nearly every day someplace in the country, in total numbering more than 200 during August.

Let’s take a look at some exciting fireworks captured in photography.
